A WOMAN who lost part of her sight in her left eye is urging people to have regular check-ups to prevent major problems.Mandy Buchanan did not know she had any problems with her sight until a routine check-up in March.It revealed she has a macular hole, a hole in part of her retina, and she was immediately referred to specialists at Hull and East Yorkshire Eye Hospital.Although she was told surgery would only mean a 20 per cent improvement, Mandy agreed to it and had the operation.Despite now having to wear glasses all of the time, Mandy said the outcome could have been very different if she had not gone for her annual eye test.Now, she is speaking out to urge others to take care of their sight as National Eye Health Week runs until tomorrow.To see more details visit,www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk
