Orbital radiotherapy appears to be a safe second-line treatment in moderate-to-severe Graves' orbitopathy, but may be less effective than high-dose glucocorticoids, according to a review by Italians researchers. Graves' orbitopathy, also known as thyroid eye disease, causes inflammation of the tissue in the orbit, leading to bulging eyes. Drs.
